Putin doesn't have and never had a plan B - US diplomat
The diplomat, former adviser to the US Secretary of State and former director of European and Eurasian affairs at the US National Security Council, Matthew Bryza, believes that the Kremlin elite is beginning to understand that Putin is burying the Russian economy forever
He shared this information with Espreso TV.
"One can only guess what mentality reigns inside the Kremlin. There are people who are disappointed and worried about Putin's lack of a plan B. It was not there when the blitzkrieg to capture Kyiv failed, and it is not there now, when the Europeans are preparing to defend themselves against Russian energy blackmail", Bryza noted.
The diplomat also added that if Putin is removed, his system will remain.
"Someone else will come, but someone who is part of the current system, unless something completely unforeseen happens. For example, a national uprising of the Russian people. Then the whole machine, the repressive forces that keep Navalny and other opposition figures in prisons, will collapse. It would lead to the complete collapse of Putin's system. Unfortunately, there are currently no signs of this. Therefore, it must be stopped on the battlefield", Bryza concluded.
