Puma-2022 military drills involving Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia begin in Poland
On November 4, the Puma-2022 military exercises of the countries of the Visegrád Group began at the Nowa Dęba training area in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship of Poland
This is reported by the PAP agency with reference to the spokesman of the 18th Mechanized Division, Major Przemysław Lipczyński.
The scenario of the largest military exercises of the countries of the Visegrád Group (Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) called Puma-2022 will take into account aspects of Russian full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
The purpose of the maneuvers is to increase the coordination of allied forces, as well as to test the ability to jointly plan, organize and conduct tactical operations.
About 2,000 servicemen and almost 300 units of military equipment are taking part in the military drills. Troops from Great Britain and the United States also take part in the exercise. The training will last until November 9.
According to Lipczyński, the exercise is mainly attended by units of armored and mechanized troops, as well as artillerymen, sappers, chemists and scouts. System-22, Gepard-22 and San-22 command and staff exercises will also take place in parallel with Puma-2022.

On October 22, NATO countries began military exercises near the borders with Belarus and Ukraine. The Poland’s Ministry of Defense reported on the movement of a significant amount of military equipment on October 22-23 to the training ground in Nowa Dęba.
