Prigozhin prepares Z-rabble for inevitable defeat and surrender – Piontkovsky
Washington-based political analyst Andrey Piontkovsky believes that Putin wants a game of honourable draw, while Prigozhin has a different plan
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The most modest estimates of Ukrainian success are those of the Ukrainian General Staff. But our enemies, for example, such an informed source as Prigozhin, have been hysterical for two days. He said significant words: if this continues, and it will continue, that he does not trust either the military or the political leadership of Russia, then we will have to end the war and give up the territories. Otherwise, the war cannot be stopped. Prigozhin's phrase is very precise: they will have to give up all the territories, because otherwise they simply cannot stop, and they will simply be killed and destroyed in this war," Piontkovsky stressed.
According to the political scientist, Prigozhin is preparing the Z-rabble for the idea of inevitable defeat and surrender.
"Prigozhin's line is misunderstood by most experts. Some see him as a hawk who opposes the peace party, opposes Putin. Putin really wants an honourable draw party. But Prigozhin's task is different. He is preparing all those Z-rabble, for whom he is really a hero, for the idea of inevitable defeat and surrender. And he is doing this so actively, without fear of any reprisals, because he is the frontman of a serious group in the Russian leadership that has realised that Ukraine will never go along with this honourable draw of Putin's, and neither will the West. The only way for them to retain power and their property in Russia is to make such a controlled honourable surrender. Prigozhin was the first to voice this formula: to end the war by leaving the territories, because otherwise it will not be possible to end it," Piontkovsky added.
