Police identify Russian soldier who tortures and robs Kyiv region residents during occupation
Law enforcers identified the Russian forces soldier who robbed and tortured local residents during the temporary occupation of the Kyiv region
This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ukrainian National Police.
Investigators found that the man, together with other Russian soldiers, committed war crimes against civilians in the Kyiv region, namely in the Moshchun village, Bucha district.
"In particular, a 29-year-old resident of Kostroma, being a deputy commander of a combat vehicle gunner-operator of Russian forces unit 32515, together with other Russian soldiers kept prisoners in the outbuildings, mocked and tortured them. In addition, the Russian troops took away people's vehicles, valuables, clothes and even food," the National Police stressed.
Currently, the National Police has sent to court an indictment against the Russian soldier. He is charged with committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Ukrainian Criminal Code. The man faces up to 12 years in prison.
