Pentagon document leak won't disrupt Ukraine's counteroffensive
Lieutenant General Mykhailo Zabrodskyi says that the leaked Pentagon documents won't stop the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive and creates additional information noise that confuses the enemy
He said this in an interview with LB.UA.
“And the question here is not whether the forecasts or information may coincide with the actual plans. The question is what is the purpose of such leaks. It won't hurt our plans, but it probably wasn't the goal. And, among other things, such leaks, experts' conclusions and assumptions create a certain amount of information noise that prevents the enemy from figuring out where the truth is and where it is not,” he explained, noting that according to the Main Intelligence Directorate, some of the leaked data is not true.
He also emphasized that those actually involved in the plans of the Armed Forces refrain from commenting.
“But if you notice, we have not heard a single comment from the circle of decision-makers involved in the implementation of the plan and probably won't hear any until the plan is implemented. And this is absolutely correct and professional,” Zabrodskyi added.
The lieutenant general believes that even a return to pre-war borders will not rid Ukraine of the threat of Russia. According to him, the only way out in this situation is to create such armed forces that will exclude the possibility of such conflicts altogether.
“If we are talking about Ukraine's victory in this war, it is clearly defined by the leadership of our country and, in particular, by the President – it is a return to internationally recognized borders, Ukrainian Donbas, Ukrainian Crimea. Unfortunately, regardless of when we restore Ukraine's borders, the threat will not disappear. As long as we have such a belligerent neighbor with such imperial ambitions, the main result of the war should be the Armed Forces of our country, which would reject even the idea that anything can be taken away from Ukraine by force of arms,” he said.

Earlier, the media wrote that based on an analysis of Pentagon documents, the 'arms supply' from the West would end with a 'spring offensive' scheduled for April 30, 2023.
