New military aid package for Ukraine is signal from US that there will be no compromises with Russia - Klimkin
Former Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs (2014-2019) Pavlo Klimkin calls the new US military aid a combination of what is needed for defense and offensives, and a signal that there will be no compromises with Russia
The diplomat said this on Espreso TV.
He noted that Ukraine would like even stronger emotional, military and political support from the United States, including American tanks and drones with a much longer range. However, the new aid package is serious and includes tanks, armored personnel carriers, and drones that hit Russian armored vehicles.
“This is a combination of what we need for defense and attack, as well as offensive operations. And I think this is a very clear hint, an American signal, that there will be no attempt to negotiate with the Russian Federation, and that Russia has admitted that it lost,” Pavlo Klimkin emphasized.

On November 4, the US announced a new USD 400 million military aid package to Ukraine, which will include at least 45 T-72 tanks. Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov called it an investment in a safe XXI century.
