The number of people killed by Russia's March 2 missile attack on a residential building in Zaporizhzhia has increased to 13
According to Ukraine's State Emergency Service, as of 07:28 am on March 5, the death toll from a Russian missile strike on a high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia has risen to 13. Rescuers managed to save the lives of 11 people, as well as 4 cats and a dog.
“The work is ongoing. Utilities have removed more than 853 tons of rubble. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 100 residents of the building and relatives of the victims. Specialists unblocked 13 dead people from the rubble, including one 8-month-old child,” the press service reported.
On the morning of March 4, the Zaporizhzhia State Emergency Service reported that as of 07:00, rescuers had discovered the bodies of three more dead residents of the building. In total, rescuers pulled 10 victims from the rubble, including one child.
As of 10:00 p.m. on March 3, 11 people have been rescued and 20 more evacuated, according to the Zaporizhzhia State Emergency Service.
As reported on the morning of March 3, the number of people killed in rocket attack on a five-story residential building has increased to five.
"Our sincere condolences to the families and friends. At the moment, 10 more people are still missing. Eight people were injured," the Zaporizhzhia City Council reported on March 3.

"Unfortunately, the number of people who died as a result of yesterday's missile attack on a five-story residential building has increased to 5. Our sincere condolences to the families and friends. At the moment, 10 more people are still missing. Eight people were injured," the Zaporizhzhia City Council reported.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported the information of March 3 that, during the night, rescuers had found the bodies of 2 more killed residents of the building that was hit by Russian troops on March 2 under the rubble .
“As of 07:00 a.m. on March 3, rescuers found the bodies of 2 more dead residents of the building. Municipal services have removed more than 102 tons of construction debris. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 76 residents and victims’ families at the scene,” the statement said.
Elimination of the consequences of the missile attack on a residential building in Zaporizhzhia continues. Rescuers are searching for people under the rubble and dismantling dangerous elements of the building. A total of 116 employees of various services, including dog handlers, and 25 pieces of equipment are involved.
