Ukraine holds off Russian troops despite reinforcements in Luhansk region — Military Administration Chief
The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysohor, said that the Russian army has a task to reach the borders with Kharkiv region
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Fierce fighting continues in the Luhansk region, with shifts in troop positions. However, our forces have managed to regain their ground. The enemy is relentlessly attempting to attack and capture our settlements, aiming to push our troops from their positions and advance toward the Kharkiv region border," Lysohor stated.
According to the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding the front line in Luhansk region, inflicting significant losses on Russia and preventing it from achieving its goals.
"Active fighting is ongoing, almost nonstop, in Bilohorivka and toward the Nevske and Serebryanka forestry areas. The enemy has intensified its use of multiple rocket launchers. A major challenge is the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, which the enemy employs to target logistics routes. The situation is extremely difficult, as the enemy has deployed fresh reserves and continues its assaults," Lysohor emphasized.
