Kharkiv governor on Russian strike group near Borova: "It is not first time"
Oleh Syniehubov stated that Russian forces are currently assembling a strike group near the village of Borova in the Kharkiv region. Such movements by the Russian forces have been ongoing over the past year
He shared the information on Telegram on June 19.
"In addition to Borova, the north of our territory, the Kupiansk and Izium directions are also considered potentially dangerous. Our military has provided information indicating the formation of a strike group, which has been observed before," Syniehubov explained.
He further noted that such movements by the Russian forces have been ongoing over the past year.
"This situation has been ongoing for the past year. Russian actions indicate they view this direction as promising, given the increasing attacks and shelling of Borova and neighboring settlements," he added.
The head of the region stated that evacuation plans for settlements near Borova are under consideration.
"We are currently reviewing evacuation plans. At the upcoming Defense Council meeting, upon the district military administration's recommendation, we will likely decide on the forced evacuation of 33 children from 5 settlements that are part of the Borova community, excluding Borova itself," he explained.
Syniehubov added that more than 300 families with children have already left Borova. Although evacuation measures are ongoing, they are currently in an inactive phase.
