Military exercises with US, UK and Romania start in Moldova
On Monday, March 27, military exercises JCET-2023 (Joint Combined Exchange Training) with the participation of Romania, the US and the UK have started in Moldova
Moldova’s Ministry of Defense reported the information.
The exercises will take place at the training centers of the National Army in accordance with its training plan for 2023. They will last from March 27 to April 7. The goal is to jointly train and exchange experience between Moldovan, Romanian, American and British Special Forces personnel. JCET-2023 also aims to increase the level of interoperability between the participating contingents.
During the exercise, servicemen from the four countries will perform advanced live-fire, parachute landings and field training with specific tasks.
The Moldovan Defense Ministry also warned that as part of the JCET-2023 exercise, military equipment would be moved from units to training centers of the National Army to participate in the exercise.

On March 23, it was announced that Moldova would receive additional EU assistance and the first tranche of the EUR 100 million Moldova Support Program in the amount of EUR 25 million from Romania.
