This extensive network spans Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson regions, and Crimea: 1,869 km in the Zaporizhzhia region, 1,865 km - Donetsk, 1,140 km - Luhansk, 886 km - Kherson, and 265 km - Crimea.
Notably, for every 1 km of the active 1,500 km frontline, Russia has constructed approximately 4 km of fortifications, the article notes.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, there are 410 km of "dragon's teeth'' and 514 km of ditches for 896 km of trenches. In Donetsk, the composition includes 269 km of anti-tank barriers for 1,285 km of trenches.
Notably, the rushed creation of some trenches without proper drainage is causing flooding issues, despite attempts to conceal certain fortifications with cover.
