Lies kill, but truth makes you free
Many people find it difficult to give up a deadly but sweet lie
Worse than those who deceive are those who want to be deceived. In 2019, we were deceived that the war could be easily stopped by meeting somewhere in the middle. But the majority wanted this lie and made the appropriate choice. It was more comfortable than thinking and preparing to fight back. And then there was the shocking blow on February 24, 2022.
“Today we are told that victory is imminent and inevitable. This is so nice to hear, because it saves us from having to see the price we pay in the fight”
But even after that, it is difficult for many to give up the deadly but sweet lie. That is why people wanted to hear about "two or three weeks" from Oleksii Arestovych.
Today, we are told that victory is imminent and inevitable. This is so nice to hear, because it removes the need to see the price we pay in the fight, or, moreover, to realize the need for additional efforts to bring it to a victorious conclusion.
But lies kill, and the truth makes you free.
