Kremlin trying to oust Prigozhin - Executive Director of Ukrainian Institute for the Future Denysenko
Vadym Denysenko, executive director of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, believes that Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin is trying to get guarantees from Putin
He shared his opinions with Espresso TV.
"Prigozhin has a limited human resource. He was able to inflate this human resource thanks to convicts, and now he is running out of these convicts. He has a base of 10,000-12,000 Wagner fighters, but according to various estimates, there are 10,000-15,000 convicts left. He has nowhere else to recruit people. Prigozhin is well aware that his convicts will be eliminated in the next month. He needs to "pump up" the rating of trust in him in order to try to trade on this level of trust. The Kremlin also understands this," Denysenko emphasized.
The executive director of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future also added that the Kremlin has launched a big game against Prigozhin to oust him.
"The Kremlin understands that the number of its people is limited, that they can fight for another month or two, and then he will essentially be gone. The game of exhausting Prigozhin has begun. I think that Prigozhin is opposed to Putin. Prigozhin realizes that the system can take him down quite easily. Prigozhin wants to get some guarantees from Putin, but Putin does not want to meet with him. There is nothing Prigozhin can do now but escalate the situation," Denysenko said.
