Wagner PMC owner concedes Ukrainian Armed Forces in Bakhmut "are not retreating anywhere"
Russian businessman and Wagner PMC owner Yevgeny Prigozhin has denied reports in some Russian propaganda media about the alleged retreat of Ukrainian defenders from the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region
He made the statement on Telegram today, February 5, 2023.
"To clarify the situation. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are not retreating anywhere. They are fighting to the last," Prigozhin said.
According to him, "in the northern quarters of Artemivsk (Bakhmut - ed.) there are fierce battles for every street, every house, every staircase."
According to Yevgeny Prygozhyn, the retreat of Ukrainian forces "is not taking place neither in the northern, southern nor eastern quarters.”
Earlier, Russian media spread the news about the "retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces" from the "northern quarters" of Bakhmut.
