Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister, Hanna Malyar, made these comments in a post on Telegram.
"To sum up all the official reports from the frontline this week: Russian occupation forces threw all their forces into breaking through our defenses and encircling Bakhmut. They also launched powerful offensives in the Lyman direction," she said.
Malyar also emphasized that thanks to the Ukrainian soldiers' resilience, the enemy failed.

On February 3, President Volodymyr Zelenskyyy assured that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not leave Bakhmut.
