Russian army losses cruise missile, 48 artillery systems, over 1,000 soldiers in one day of war in Ukraine

Over the past day, 74 combat clashes took place at the front. Ukraine’s Armed Forces repelled a number of Russian attacks in 7 directions and eliminated another 1,070 invaders

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 22 to March 05, 24 are estimated at

Situation at the front: 74 combat clashes took place over the last day, Russia attacks most actively in the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka sectors

Thus, according to the General Staff, the operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops made 7 attacks near the towns of Synkivka and Tabaivka in Kharkiv region, trying to improve their tactical position.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 4 Russian attacks near Terny, Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian defense forces repulsed 6 adversary attacks near Andriivka, Ivanivske and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, in the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group, Ukrainian defenders rebuffed 28 attacks in the areas of 5 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defense forces are holding back the Russian troops in the areas of 5 localities in Donetsk region, where they attempted to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops 22 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian occupation forces carried out one attack near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold their positions. Despite significant losses, the Russian army keeps trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Thus, over the past day, they made two unsuccessful assault operations.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the Russian enemy along the entire front line.

Russia attacks Ukraine with missiles, drones and aircraft: Ukrainian Armed Forces hit Russia's UAV control station and an aircraft missile

In total, the Russian Federation launched 5 missile and 66 air strikes, fired 108 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other civilian infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

At night, the Russian occupation troops once again attacked Ukraine using 22 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 18 attack UAVs.

Over the past day, 1 locality in Sumy region, 7 in Kharkiv region, 3 in Luhansk region, 16 in Donetsk region and 4 in Zaporizhzhia region were hit by airstrikes.

More than 140 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Over the past day, Ukraine's defense aviation struck 8 areas of Russian personnel concentration and 1 UAV ground control station. Ukrainian air defense forces also destroyed one Kh-59 guided missile.

The missile troops struck 3 areas of personnel concentration, 1 air defense system and 6 Russian artillery units.

  • On the night of March 5, Russia launched attack drones from the Black Sea to Odesa region. 18 of the 22 drones were shot down over the city, but there were hits, damaging the buildings of a recreational facility.
