Jens Stoltenberg calls on NATO countries to urgently replenish their weapons stockpiles to continue supporting Ukraine
On September 27, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg convened an extraordinary meeting of the Conference of National Directors on Armaments, dedicated to the consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine
This was reported by the press release of the Alliance.
"Strengthening NATO stockpiles will ensure that we can continue to support Ukraine. We must continue to work together as NATO members, as well as with industry, to replenish our ammunition stocks and provide Ukraine with the support it needs for as long as it needs it," the Secretary General said.
In addition, it is also noted that the meeting of the Conference of National Armaments Directors discussed the ways in which NATO members can better identify the shortage of weapons stockpiles and jointly eliminate them.
This conference is designed to promote cooperation in the provision of operationally compatible military forces and assets. This ensures that Alliance forces will always have the most advanced forces and assets at their disposal.
