Israeli political scientist names two possible scenarios for Iran's involvement in war
Israeli political scientist Zeev Khanin believes that Iran may use its influence in the West to organize terror attacks against Israeli institutions
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Today, Iran has several options. First, to mobilize its supporters and satellites. Because there are a number of Shiite groups in Syria that have pro-Iranian sentiments. But most importantly, Iran has a powerful system of influence in the West. There are a number of groups of their supporters. Therefore, terror against Israeli institutions, embassies, missions, and Jewish communities may be one of the elements of the war against Israel. Iran is likely to use them. That is why Israel has to wage war on all fronts," Khanin explained.
According to the political scientist, Western intelligence services should help Israel avoid terror against Jews on their territories.
"Israel is now closely monitoring the northeastern part of the country. They are considering various scenarios, including Iran's entry into this war. Also, Israel is well aware that their state is not only for Israelis, but for all Jews in the world. Therefore, the Mossad and the Shabak will not be able to cover everything. Western intelligence services can play a major role in helping Israel avoid terror against Jews around the world," he added.
