Iron Dome is not effective air defense system for Ukraine - Israeli military

The Ukrainian side continues to insist on the supply of Israeli weapons, and we are doing everything possible on this issue in Israel itself. In my opinion, we will succeed. There is a shift. More and more politicians and the military in Israel are talking about helping Ukraine," Werzner said.

Werzner stressed that the Iron Dome air defense system should not be required of Israel. After all, in his opinion, such an air defense system can solve only local problems in the Ukrainian theater of operations.

"In my opinion, there is no need to focus on Israeli air defense systems. The Israeli Iron Dome air defense system will be able to solve only local problems in Ukraine due to the cost and number of batteries needed to close the sky over Ukraine. I would insist on supplying systems like Spike Nlos that can destroy enemy vehicles at a distance of 30 km. These weapons can significantly help Ukrainians at the moment," Werzner added.
