Irish military begins training AFU to defuse bombs in Cyprus
The Irish military has begun training the Ukrainian Armed Forces in bomb disposal and demining
Chief of Staff of the Irish Defense Forces Lieutenant General Sean Clancy said this, the Irish Times reports.
“Ireland has committed to sending up to 30 Defence Forces personnel to take part in training in areas such as ordnance disposal and combat medicine,” the statement says.
Clancy emphasized that Irish troops are already in Cyprus, conducting basic training for Ukrainian forces in the disposal of unexploded ordnance and demining.
