Over 11 thousand Ukrainian military train abroad - Pentagon
Currently, more than 11,000 Ukrainian soldiers are undergoing training abroad. In total, 26 countries have joined the ‘training coalition’ of Ukrainian defenders
This was stated by Pentagon spokesman General Patrick Ryder during a briefing.
The training of the Ukrainian military is carried out by international efforts in partnership with a coalition of friendly states.
Since April 2022, Ukrainian defenders have completed more than 40 different training programs on more than 20 combat systems, he said.
Ryder emphasized that the United States will continue such training and work closely with allies and partners to ensure that the Ukrainian people receive the necessary defense assistance they need to defend their country and repel Russian aggression.
"We remain committed to supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes," the general added.
Earlier, Ivan Tymochko, the head of the Armed Forces Reservists Council, said on Espreso that 80 to 100 thousand Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained at the training grounds of allied countries. But to have an advantage over the Russian enemy, this figure should at least be doubled.
