This was reported by the press service of the Special Operations Forces (SOF).
At night, the Special Operations Forces commandos received a combat mission to rescue a group of servicemen from encirclement. Within two hours, the fighters planned the task and moved in two armored Humvees to rescue their fellow troops, the press service said.
‘We flew in on the Humvee, loaded the friendly forces and headed back,’ said Bruce, an operator at the 73rd SOF Centre.
The SOF noted that the evacuation team was breaking out under enemy tank and machine gun fire, as well as FPV drone fire. The operation resulted in the successful evacuation of the Ukrainian servicemen.
- In the Kursk sector, Russian army soldiers shot two Ukrainian servicemen at close range, who were taken prisoner. Ukraine has sent letters to international organizations regarding this execution.
