Invading Russian forces can be encircled at the southern bridgehead - Ukrainian Security Service colonel

He shared the details with Espreso TV. 

"The southern bridgehead is a promising direction, even though a lot of the Russians' forces and means are concentrated there. It is already possible to take the enemy into an operational encirclement. It is logical that this direction will be developed. It is effective for us to develop a counteroffensive in the South and throw the enemy on the left bank of the Dnipro", Kostenko said. 

According to the colonel, the eastern direction remains important for the Russians, as they need victory.

"They can transfer reserves to the South and this will weaken the East. They have set themselves the task of reaching the borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. We need to recapture the right-bank bridgehead so that the enemy cannot seize the Mykolaiv and Odesa regions", Kostenko noted.
