The defender of Azovstal, paramedic Kateryna Polishchuk with the call sign Ptashka showed a photo in which she is depicted together with her parents
Ptashka published the photo on her Facebook page, reports Espreso
"These are my mother and father. People who have survived more than me. And if I have aged this year, what can I say about them. Eternal gratitude. Love your parents while they are alive," she wrote.
Reference. Kateryna Polishchuk is a native of Ternopil, studied at the Ternopil Art College named after Solomia Krushelnytska. She has been serving as a paramedic in the Hospitallers garrison since 2021. As a paramedic with the call sign Ptashka, she became famous in the spring of this year, when a video with her participation, filmed in the basements of Azovstal, appeared on social networks. Together with other defenders of Mariupol, she was captured by the occupiers in May.
On September 21, Ukraine and Russia held a large-scale exchange of prisoners, during which Ptashka returned home. On December 2, the girl announced that she had been awarded the III degree order "For Courage".
