"I did not come empty-handed": Lithuania to give Ukraine 10 armored vehicles, ammunition
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausieda announced the allocation of a new package of military aid to Ukraine that includes 10 armored vehicles, ammunition, and counter-drone systems
He shared the news during his speech with President Zelenskyy.
"I would also like to talk about military aid. We provided it at the beginning of the war, when the war had already started, and we provide it now. And today I did not come empty-handed. Today, the new package is ammunition and ten armored vehicles. We will soon show the anti-drones that are manufactured in Lithuania. We know you desperately need these systems," he said.
The President of Lithuania emphasized that his country is one of the main allies of Ukraine. Lithuania also transfers humanitarian and financial aid.
"In my speech in the Verkhovna Rada, I said that Lithuania has chosen its friends a long time ago and will never betray them: neither the leaders of the state nor any citizen, who are extremely proud of you. My state is one of the main allies of Ukraine. Today we provide both bilateral aid and we transfer money. Money is not so important, what is really important is that we do it from the bottom of our hearts," he said.
He also added that Lithuania has united in helping Ukraine and will not allow anyone in the West to forget about the war. Moreover, the President stated that everyone who committed war crimes on the territory of Ukraine must be punished.
