Historic event between Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania to take place in summer - Polish politician Czech
Polish politician Mirosław Czech says that Russia is trying to weaponize historical differences and the historical memory of Poles and Ukrainians
He made the statement on Espreso TV.
"There are attempts by Russia to play on historical differences or the historical memory of Poles and Ukrainians. We are talking about the Volyn tragedy, which will mark its 80th anniversary in July. President Duda's statement suggests that Poles and Ukrainians will not allow themselves to be divided.”
According to the Polish politician, the President of Poland emphasized that it is necessary to work for reconciliation.
"This statement was strong, it was heard, as well as President Duda's statement that we must work for reconciliation. We know that a historic event related to the past is being prepared in June or July. People close to the Office of the President of Poland say that the event may be prepared in a trilateral format, with Lithuania as the third country," Czech emphasized.
