Half the Russian Black Sea fleet's combat jets out of operation - Reuters
Blasts at the Saky air base in the annexed Crimean peninsula earlier this month have put more than half of the Russian Black Sea fleet's naval aviation combat jets out of use
This is reported by Reuters.
It is noted that one of the European officials said on the condition of anonymity that Ukraine is consistently seeking a "kinetic effect" deep in Russia's rear, which has a significant impact on Russia's material and technical support and a psychological impact on the Russian leadership.
"According to our estimates, the explosions at the Saky airfield on August 9 disabled more than half of the Black Sea Fleet's combat aircraft", the official said.
He added that, in general, before these explosions, the war was at a point close to operational stagnation.
According to him, the ground forces of neither side have enough concentrated combat power to launch effective offensive actions that will in any way significantly affect the course of the war.
