"Go f**k yourself": Hungary reacts after Slovak FM lambasts Orban in response to his pro-Russian statements
Slovakia's Foreign Minister Rastislav Káčer slammed his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orbán for his policy of playing into Putin's hands
In his Facebook post, Slovakia’s top diplomat, among other things, argued that military assistance to Ukraine was morally right because Russians have invaded the country and are killing Ukrainians. He emphasized that the European Union is united in helping Kyiv – only Hungary is staying away.
Káčer noted that the Hungarian Prime Minister's position that "this is not our war" is morally unacceptable.
“Over the weekend, their Carpathian prophet was talking about how this is not our war. It is "just a military conflict between two Slavic states". We had to leave them alone, isolate them. That is, let the Russians quickly kill the Ukrainians. Let them not worry. How disgusting. How pathetic. How unchristian. St. Martin of Tours (born in what is now Hungary) would have died of shame for such Christians,” the Slovak Foreign Minister wrote.
Káčer noted that he agrees with "these Carpathian collaborators of the Russian aggressors" on one point.
“The supply of weapons to Ukraine prolongs the conflict and postpones peace. Russia is the largest supplier of weapons to Ukraine. At first, it also supplied them with "little green men". They were not Russians, or if they were, they were only on vacation in Ukraine. They have been openly attacking and supplying weapons to Ukraine for a year now. As soon as the Russians stop supplying weapons to Ukraine, pack up and go home, at the same moment others will stop supporting Kyiv militarily and peace will come. It's very simple,” Káčer emphasized.
He also criticized the position of former Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who, according to Káčer, wants "Putin's peace, like Orban."
“Orban is doing in Hungary what we would do in Slovakia if the Smer-SD (Robert Fico's party - ed.) was in power,” Káčer said.
According to him, Slovakia is part of the developed world, so he doesn't want us to “do like Orban.”
“For Putin's collaborators, and especially for ours in the Carpathian Basin and highlands, for all those who want peace at the cost of destroying Ukraine, I have only one message,” the Slovak diplomat said, adding a swear word in Russian: “Иди на х*й (Go f**k yourself - ed).”
Zsolt Németh, head of Hungary's Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee and co-founder of the ruling Fidesz party, spoke at a briefing about the Slovak foreign minister's mental problems, the Új Szó publication reports.
“I know Mr. Káčer well, because he was the ambassador to Budapest and I met him several times. I must say that I am very concerned about his mental health. I would advise him to visit a psychiatrist as a matter of urgency,” the politician commented.
Németh added that the Hungarian government “unequivocally rejects the minister's statements and has summoned the Slovak ambassador to Budapest” for explanations.
