German IRIS-T missile complex has already shown its capabilities in Ukraine - Ukrainian Armed Forces
German anti-aircraft missile complex IRIS-T showed its capabilities in the fight against Russian air targets in Ukraine.
Yuriy Ihnat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports in Media Center Ukraine.
German modernized air defense system IRIS-T has already passed the so-called baptism of fire in Ukraine and showed what it is capable of in the fight against Russian air targets.
Complexes with such modernization do not yet exist anywhere in the world, however, they are few and far between.
"We expect that German industry will gain momentum so that we can get as many of these systems into service as possible. One of these systems is already working in Ukraine," Ignat said.
As for where IRIS-T is located and how it works, they keep it a secret: "I will say this, during the last Russian attacks, the latest IRIS-T system showed itself very well in its work. Of course, the combat baptism of this complex, its tests in combat conditions - passed".
The spokesman noted that in the coming months, Ukraine will receive several more combat installations that will strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
