Geopolitics starting to influence our war with Russia – Pavlo Klimkin
China's "peace plan" is an effort to become a "player" who is ready and willing to play globally
The information about China's possible delivery of drones to Russia is, of course, alarming. China's military potential can change a lot if Russia starts using it.
But for now, I am sceptical. China loses much more than it gains from arms supplies. It seems to be a desire to "show teeth" in response to increased American activity in Taiwan, such as increased exercises, supplies, etc.
“It seems to be a desire to "show teeth" in response to increased American activity in Taiwan, such as increased exercises, supplies, etc.”
This is typical of the Chinese mentality: if they create problems for us somewhere, we will also create them, but asymmetrically elsewhere.
Showing your teeth doesn't mean biting, but all of this demonstrates how much geopolitics is starting to influence our war with Russia. The Chinese "peace plan" released by the Chinese Foreign Ministry is yet another confirmation of this.
This very cautious text, which contains many traps, is not about the content – the Chinese know perfectly well that it is unacceptable neither for us, nor for the West, or Russia. This plan is about an effort to become a "player" who is ready and willing to "play" globally. And this is a serious bid.
