France and Japan will help Ukraine with consequences of Russian invasion - Macron
Both countries will work together to help Ukraine face the consequences of a full-scale Russian invasion
This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Japan Today reports.
Kishida began a week-long trip to Europe and North America in Paris, holding talks with the French President.
The French president thanked the Japanese government for its economic and humanitarian support to Ukraine and stressed that the two countries will work together to help Ukraine and the world cope with the consequences of the Russian invasion, especially with the problems of energy and food security.
The officials also discussed North Korea's attempts to develop new medium- and long-range missiles.
"Japan can count on our unfailing support to face flagrant breaches to international law from Pyongyang," the French president added.
- On January 4, it became known that France would transfer AMX-10RC wheeled tanks and ACMAT Bastion armored personnel carriers to Ukraine. This was promised to Zelenskyy by French President Emmanuel Macron during a telephone conversation.
