For a real sense of protection on the battlefield, we desperately need this trio of US weapons - Zgurets

Serhiy Zgurets, director of the information and consulting company Defense Express, says that the process of transferring Abrams, Bradley and M-109s to Ukraine should start, because the infantry plays a decisive role in battlefield successes and must be protected.

He shared his opinion with Espreso.TV live on air.

"The Americans have 3,400 Abrams tanks in storage, which could be taken and used. We need to start logistical preparations, and our tankers say that at most they need a month to master Abrams or Leopard, because the tanks are essentially similar. If there is a question of complications of logistics in terms of fuel and ammunition, then these are the accompanying moments. Just like with ATACMS or HARM, when the way out was found and we got advantages on the battlefield. The political and public elites, as well as diplomats and the military, said that the process of transfer of Abrams (the main battle tank of the third generation produced by the USA, - ed.), Bradley (the main infantry fighting vehicle in service with the mechanized forces of the US Army, - ed.) and M-109 (the American self-propelled howitzer, in service with the artillery  of the US Army, - ed.) should be started. We really need this trio of American weapons to feel really protected," the military expert emphasized.

Serhiy Zgurets noted that ATACMS and HIMARS are cool examples, but infantry decides the success on the battlefield, which must be protected at the border in order to gain a foothold and knock out the enemy.
