Food for Xi’s thought: Taiwan has 50 Patriots batteries

Xi must have been thinking a lot after May 16, when 100% of Putin's "there are no analogs in the world" weapons were destroyed over Kyiv by fire from US-made Patriots air defence systems, which have recently been put into service with the Air Force of Ukraine.

Taiwan alone has 50 Patriot batteries with a total volley of 1,200 missiles to hit air targets.

In addition, the United States promised Taiwan additional supplies at the end of last year.

The Saudi Patriots fiasco of 2019 has been washed away by the Ukrainian triumph of 2023. The effective use of modern Western weapons by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is a factor of global influence, because on May 16, Ukraine not only defended the skies over Kyiv, but also postponed China's "special military operation" against Taiwan for a longer period.

Now Xi sees that he not only lacks amphibious assets, but he is not sure that Chinese aircraft and missiles will be able to hit anything in Taiwan at all...
