First NASAMS complexes to be installed in Ukraine soon
Ukraine will receive two sophisticated NASAMS air defense systems. Manufacturing company Raytheon Technologies has already transferred these systems to the US government.
Raytheon CEO Gregory J. Hayes reports on CNBC, according to the Defense News website.
“We did just deliver two NASAMS systems... We delivered two of them to the government a couple of weeks ago. They’re being installed in Ukraine [imminently],” Hayes said.
“A senior Pentagon official said Monday the NASAMS were expected to be delivered “within the next couple of weeks” and that Ukraine would announce when they in the country and operational”, Defense News said.
In addition to two mentioned complexes, the United States promised to deliver six more NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine later. CEO of Raytheon Technologies emphasized that company expects more orders from NASAMS "due to the rapid demand for products."

On October 14, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov stated that Ukraine could receive NASAMS systems before the end of the month.

On October 24, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that Germany will provide Ukraine with three more IRIS-T air defense systems, each of which is capable of protecting a large city.
