Fires erupt at civilian facilities in Belgorod, causing power outages
Explosions were also heard in Belgorod and the surrounding district on the night of April 17. While local publications claim that one of the substations was attacked, causing problems with the electricity supply, regional authorities confirmed "fires at civilian objects"
Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote about the fires on Telegram.
He stated that there were no casualties and emergency services were on the scene extinguishing the fire. However, the cause of the fires was not specified.
Local Telegram channels allege that the explosions caused electricity problems in Belgorod's center, and one of the city's substations was hit.
One message suggests that the fire resulted from a Ukrainian drone crash at the Belgorod TPP, causing partial power loss.
Additionally, the Deep State project reported the destruction of an autonomous mobile surveillance complex "Murom-P" in the Belgorod region.
By 00:53, Gladkov reported that both fires at civilian facilities in Belgorod and the surrounding district had been extinguished.
