"Even horizontal bars are taken out of gyms": invading Russian forces are trying to escape from Kharkiv region with looted property
Invading Russian forces, retreating from the temporarily Russia-occupied part of the Kharkiv region, took with them locals' property and even horizontal bars from gyms
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense wrote about this on Facebook.
"In the Kharkiv direction, as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' successful counteroffensive, the Russian occupiers are trying to escape deep into the temporarily seized territories. Some of them are trying to cross the border with the Russian Federation and leave for the territory of the Belgorod region," the report says.
Russian invaders, while fleeing from the Kharkiv region, engaged in massive looting, taking away generators, telephones, computers, and even horizontal bars and sports equipment from Ukrainians. They also rob schools.
In one of the villages, the Russian occupiers stole a bus, which was later abandoned 6 kilometers away with 36 bodies of Russian soldiers.
The families of the Russian soldiers are surprised by the stories about the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive, because the Russian media spread information about the successful offensive of the Russians.
"The personnel of the units of the so-called "DNR", which until recently were stationed in Izyum, had to retreat 60 kilometers from the city, due to the lack of replenishment of ammunition and fuel," Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence noted.
