Andrei Piontkovsky, a Russian political scientist, shared his opinions on Espreso TV.

“Once again, the Turkish President has demonstrated who is the alpha male in the Putin-Erdogan pair. He demonstrated this once and for all two years ago, during the Karabakh war. Then he very seriously sided with his ally Azerbaijan, and Putin was afraid to go to war. Since then, their relations have stopped forever. Erdogan gave a master class to Western politicians on how to talk to this Kremlin bastard. That's the only way. I think Erdogan reminded him that the Turkish Black Sea Fleet has an absolute advantage over the Russian Black Sea Fleet. In addition, Turkey is in no way inferior when it comes to the so-called aerospace forces,” Piontkovsky says.

He notes that Putin's behavior was so demonstratively cowardly that if you look at the Russian blogosphere, their "patriotic" channels, everyone understood what happened.

“I appeal to Western politicians, participants of today's G7 meeting, which will last two days in Germany, and Blinken has already arrived. Learn from Erdogan how to communicate with this scoundrel. Erdogan does not hesitate to use military force, as he showed in the Karabakh war. Suppose that Putin decided to stand his ground and withdraw from the grain deal. What does it mean - not to allow Turkish ships to carry Ukrainian grain?! The Americans threaten to destroy the Black Sea fleet in half an hour if there is a nuclear attack on Ukraine, and I believe them. And Erdogan would destroy the Black Sea Fleet not in half an hour, but in 15 minutes if the Russians attacked a Turkish ship. Putin understands this. The willingness to use force and political will is a very simple recipe,” Piontkovsky concludes.
