"Drone Army": AI-enabled drones to be purchased for Ukraine's Armed Forces
Drones with artificial intelligence technology worth UAH 260.5 million will be purchased for Ukraine's Armed Forces
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on Telegram.
"Soon, super drones will appear at the front. And it's due to your donations! The first contracts for UAH 260.5 million for the purchase of drones for the "Drone Army" have been signed", Fedorov wrote.
The Minister of Digital Transformation said that the "Drone Army" will soon receive and send to the front 78 Matric multicopters, 2 systems for 20 Warmate kamikaze attack drones, as well as 20 Fly Eye reconnaissance drones.
"These are 78 Matrice multicopters that are equipped with artificial intelligence technology. They are able to record high-quality videos, focus on targets, as well as remotely identify potential dangers. Also, these are 2 ground systems for 20 Warmate kamikaze attack drones, acquired through the Monobank initiative. We are preparing markers so that you can leave a message to the occupiers on them. And the superstar of the purchase is 20 Fly Eye, one of the best reconnaissance drones in the world", Fedorov wrote.
The minister also noted that UAH 100 million for drones were transferred by an entrepreneur in the field of space technologies Maksym Polyakov, which significantly accelerated the acquisition of the necessary equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
