Despite Russia's energy blackmail, US aid to Ukraine will continue as long as needed - Biden
US President Joe Biden has said that despite Russia's energy blackmail, US support for Ukraine will continue as long as there is a need for it.
This was reported by CBS with reference to Biden's statement during the interview.
"We, the United States, are in much better shape than anyone else is, and relative to Russia particularly. But he (Russian President Vladimir Putin. - Ed.) has been trying that for a while. He's not gonna succeed," the president said.
Biden noted that US support for Ukraine will continue as long as there is a need for it. The Ukrainian people are paying an extremely high price, and "we will be with them as long as they need our help."
He also stated that the development of the situation in Ukraine showed that "Russia does not have such competence and capabilities as many thought," and Ukraine is now winning, but the damage caused by the war to Ukraine "can hardly be considered a victory" for Kyiv.
