Croatia will allocate almost €3 million for demining machines for Ukraine
Croatia will allocate about €3 million for the purchase of equipment for the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, the equipment will help in the process of humanitarian demining of de-occupied territories.
This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
During the meeting of Deputy MIA of Ukraine Mary Hakopyan with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Croatia to Ukraine Aniceja Dzamich on December 21, the parties agreed that Croatia will allocate almost €3 million to demining vehicles for the Ukrainian National Emergency Service.
Mary Hakopyan drew attention to Ukraine's need for partner assistance, which is caused by the Russian shelling of the energy infrastructure during the cold period.
Demining in the de-occupied territories has become another challenge for Ukraine. So Aniceja Dzamich stated: the Croatian side will help in humanitarian demining.
"Aniceja Dzamich assured the readiness of the Croatian side to assist Ukraine in the process of humanitarian demining of liberated territories by providing specialized mechanical demining machines and other pyrotechnic equipment to the State Emergency Service. To this end, the Croatian side plans to allocate almost €3 million to the purchase of demining machines for Ukraine's needs," the message says.
