Crimea will see more explosions with push to liberate peninsula - diplomat
Diplomat Volodymyr Ohryzko believes that attacks on Russian military facilities in the temporarily Russia-occupied Crimea will only increase.
He shared his opinion with Espreso TV.
"Russia counted on the fact that after ending the active phase of the war at some stage, we would agree to the indefinite status of Crimea. They counted on the fact that the status of Crimea would be determined for several decades. In this sense, the work of the Crimean Platform for the de-occupation of Crimea is very important. However, the circumstances have already changed. And none of the countries that participate in the platform will in any way comment on the situation that is currently happening in Crimea", Ohryzko explained.
The diplomat emphasized that the number of explosions at Russian military warehouses in the Russia-occupied Crimea will only increase.
"In Crimea now, cigarette butts are being thrown somewhere all the time. The Russians do not know how to follow the safety rules at important military facilities and they explode. I think that there will be a lot of such explosions. And I really like this tactic. All the Russians who stayed in the occupied Crimea must remember the way back to Russia. Because now warehouses are exploding in the north and east of Crimea, but military warehouses further south will be destroyed very soon. The Russians will be pushed out of Crimea back to Siberia. However, in my opinion, holding the Crimean platform this year is still relevant", he added.
