Crimea blasts deal blow to Russia's reputation, in first step to peninsula's liberation - military expert Musienko
Oleksandr Musienko, director of the Center for Military and Legal Research, believes that the events in Crimea have important military and information aspects.
He expressed his opinion on the air of the "Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko" program on the Espreso TV channel.
"The myths created by Russian propaganda that Crimea is protected, that it is an unsinkable aircraft carrier are now being debunked. After Sevastopol, it is already clear that Russia is vulnerable. Explosions in occupied Crimea, powerful strikes on the command of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in Sevastopol, explosions in Novofedorivka, explosions near Kerch they attacked people who came to Crimea from Russia to live and rest," Musienko emphasized.
According to a military expert, the events in Crimea are a reputational blow to Russia's image.
"A blow to the image of a country that has supposedly powerful S-400 air defense systems, which they advertise and try to sell to India and Turkey, and which miss strikes. The strike on the airfield destroyed the aircraft of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, attack aircraft and bombers that were striking the Ukrainian territory. These are prerequisites for the liberation of the Crimean peninsula. At first, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the near rear, but now it's coming to the far rear as well," Musienko noted.
