Claims of Ukraine’s role in Nord Stream explosions are aimed at slowing down aid – Zelenskyy
Ukraine has nothing to do with the explosions at Nord Stream, and accusations are beneficial to those who want to slow down assistance to Ukrainian military
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a press conference with Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin.
“We have nothing to do with this. All this is to slow down the assistance to Ukraine, it's very simple... We clearly understand in what network it was published, where it appeared, on which media platforms of which countries, and how it could have happened,” Zelenskyy said.
The President noted that accusations against Ukraine are dangerous and wrong. In his opinion, this plays into the hands of Russia only. He also added that it may also be beneficial to certain groups that are interested in easing sanctions, as their business suffers or trade with the terrorist state decreases. These groups, according to Zelenskyy, may be found not only in Russia.
“Unfortunately, you and I need to realize what we are fighting. We are fighting the enemy. There is only one enemy – Russia. We are also fighting against those people who see nothing but money for themselves,” he said.
Zelenskyy added that many different parallel processes are underway. For example, there are third countries that provide conditional support to Ukraine, but at the same time help Russia circumvent sanctions, earn tens of billions of dollars, and have increased trade with the terrorist state compared to the pre-war period. The president noted that this applies to many countries, even those that are members of NATO and the EU.
“I would pay attention to this and analyze who it is for. Who needs such disinformation? Ukrainians definitely did not do this, and this is the most important thing,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
