Brink responds to accusations that the US wants Russia’s weakening, but not Ukraine’s victory
US Ambassador Bridget Brink says that the huge amounts of financial and security aid prove that Washington wants Ukraine to win the war with Russia.
Brink reports in an interview with European Pravda.
According to her, the assumption that the US aims to weaken Russia, and not help Ukraine to win, has no basis, as evidenced by the huge amounts of aid to Washington for more than $15 billion.
"I will remind you that we have provided you with security assistance in the amount of more than $15 billion, as well as billions of dollars in other assistance after February 24. This is a huge amount of real assistance to Ukraine, it is not just statements of support. This is security support, it is direct budgetary support in the amount of one and a half billion dollars a month, for many months in a row. And this is humanitarian support," Brink said.
She emphasized that no country in the world has provided such support to Ukraine.
"This is such an array of support that no other country in the world has given you. These are huge sums. Therefore, I will repeat: the United States provides you not only with political and diplomatic support, but also tangible financial support with the aim of ensuring that Ukraine not only survives, but also wins," Brink assured.
