Belarus transfers military equipment to Lithuania and Poland borders
During "combat readiness check" of Belarusian army, at least 20 tanks were transferred to a training ground near Grodno, near the border with Lithuania and Poland
Monitoring group Belarusian Hajun wrote this on Telegram.
"On the second day of a sudden check of combat readiness, new units and units of Belarusian Armed Forces began to be involved in it. For example, units of immediate response forces from the 11th and the 19th mechanized divisions were tasked with marching to the training grounds of Belarusian Armed Forces, including overcoming water obstacles," the monitoring group said.
From the 11th separate mechanized division, 2 tank companies of 7th separate tank battalion, which is equipped with at least 20 T-72B tanks of Belarusian Armed Forces, were involved in the drills.
"Units will have to march from the point of permanent deployment to Gozky training ground in Grodno district (overcoming a water obstacle, most likely in Lida district)," Hajun adds.
The unit was alerted today at 03:00 a.m. (Minsk time).
Also, 40th Separate Mechanized Battalion of 11 division, 105th Separate Mechanized Battalion of 11 division, Engineer and Sapper Battalion of 11 division are also likely to be involved in the inspection.
There is currently no information about movement of 19th Division units: "It is expected that units of this division will cross Berezina river at the crossing that was established in Borisov district of Minsk region."
In addition, on December 13, it became known that 103rd special forces division of Belarus is being transferred to the Brest region. This region borders Ukraine's Volyn and Rivne regions. And on December 12, Russian military personnel and four trawlers with T-80 tanks, a mortar battery, communication vehicles and engineering equipment were spotted in the Brest region.
