Austria will provide power generators for Ukraine’s digital infrastructure
On November 22, Ukraine signed a memorandum on cooperation with Austria in the field of digitalization. A batch of generators will be provided for Ukraine
The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, informed about this on Telegram.
"Our priority is to restore communication in the de-occupied territories as quickly as possible. Austrian colleagues are ready to help our servers and digital infrastructure by allocating a batch of generators," Fedorov wrote.
It is reported that the government will work on providing Ukraine with Starlink, and this requires even more terminals to support the operation of the telecom infrastructure.
Currently, Ukraine and Austria have signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of digitization. The team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation will share their experience in building a digital state. Now the Austrians are working on the launch of digital documents in the one-stop shop of the Digitales Amt application, which works on a similar principle to Diia.
"Like Ukraine in the past, they started with the launch of a digital driver's license. Earlier, we shared our achievements as to the driver’s license and will help with the digitization of other documents. There is a lot of joint work ahead," added the minister of digital transformation.
