Attacks on headquarters of Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol would be impossible without help of partisans
Vadym Skibitskyi, representative of The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine's Ministry of Defence, told how important Ukrainian partisan movement is in temporarily occupied territories
He said this in an interview with the German t-online news outlet.
Skibitskyi noted that local resistance is important for Ukrainian counteroffensive and said that drone strikes on the headquarters of Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in Sevastopol in July would not have been possible without help of partisans. He also noted that it was the resistance movement that helped create lists of Kherson collaborators who helped organize "referendums" in September.
Representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported that currently resistance cells are active in Kherson, Zaporizhzhia region, and Crimea. He also noted that many partisans die during dangerous operations.
"This is not an easy task. The Russian occupation regime consists of FSB agents, Russian National Guard, regular troops and collaborators. Many partisans die. But this is a patriotic act that helps liberate our country", Skibitskyi said.
