Tetiana Ihnatchenko, a spokeswoman for the Donetsk regional military administration, noted that the hottest place is now Avdiivka. On the morning of December 8, Russian artillery shelled the city three times.

She talked about this on the air of Espreso.

"The situation remains dangerous and tense in the Donetsk region. Yesterday, December 7, we had many dead and wounded: nine civilians were killed by Russians yesterday, and 15 civilians were injured. The Russian forces struck a decisive blow at Kurakhove. They covered the city's center with artillery fire and the market. The bus station came under fire, so we have six dead and eight wounded among the civilians only in Kurakhove. Russian forces purposefully shot at civilians in the Lyman community, where they hit almost the center of the village, the humanitarian aid delivery point," the spokeswoman said.

Tetiana Ihnatchenko stressed that the danger remains for the settlements in the Donetsk region. During the night, from December 7 to December 8, the fighting continued along the entire contact line.

"As of the morning of December 8, we are aware of many attacks." The hottest place right now is Avdiivka. It was reported that since 8 a.m., there have already been three artillery attacks. And at 9 a.m., information was received that Avdiivka was being shelled from tanks," Ihnatchenko said.
