All Russian regions must hold referendums on new constitution - Russian antiwar politicians abroad
Russia's Congress of People's Deputies, an organisation of antiwar Russian political figures abroad, wants all regions to hold separate referendums on a new constitution after the fall of Putin's regime
Russian political analyst Olga Kurnosova said this on Espreso.
"On February 23, Russia’s Congress of People's Deputies took place in Warsaw. We started talking about the future Russian constitution, about a possible transition period. Our basic idea is that all regions should hold separate referendums on the new constitution. Its adoption will automatically mean joining the new Russian Republic," she believes.
Kurnosova added that if there is no such decision, the region will live independently without Russia.
"This right of regions, not only nations and peoples, to decide that they no longer want to be with Russia should be laid at the basis of everything we do. The most important enemy of Russia is the imperial model, which has long been outdated. In the 20th century all empires were already dead. This model is killing Russia, it must be put to death," she concluded.
