F-16 support equipment: Denmark to provide Ukraine with new military aid package
Denmark has announced the 19th military support package for Ukraine, which includes additional equipment to support earlier provided F-16 fighters
The Danish Defense Ministry reports.
The new assistance package includes a number of different defense procurement and transfer agreements with allies, including more equipment to support the F-16 fighter jets provided by Denmark.
In addition, as part of the aid package, Denmark will invest directly in Ukrainian arms production and support it from its own defense stockpiles.
According to Danish Defense Minister Trolls Lund Pulsen, the aid package will provide Ukraine with support on the battlefield "here and now."
"But we also have Danish security commitments to support Ukraine over the next 10 years. That is why we have created a Danish model of support for the Ukrainian defense industry, which will help to increase Ukrainian production of military equipment in the short and long term," the minister said.
The Danish Ministry of Defense also emphasized that in the last two aid packages, a total of DKK 1.2 billion (about $117 million) was allocated for investments in the Ukrainian defense industry.
